Modern Warfare 2 Perks

Perks are special abilities / power ups for multiplayer combat. There are only 3 perk slots available to you and each slot consist of different types of perks, so choosing the right ones for your class is crucial.

Unlike in the previous Call of Duty games, each perk can now be upgraded to a Pro version by completing its challenge.

Note: Pro perks are additions to each perk, they don’t replace them.

Perk 1

 

Perk Name: Marathon
Perk Ability: Infinite Sprint

Pro Perk Upgrade: Marathon Pro
Pro Perk Ability: Increased mantle speed
How to unlock: Run 26 Miles

Perk Name: Sleight of Hand
Perk Ability: Faster Reloading

Pro Perk Upgrade: Sleight of Hand Pro
Pro Perk Ability: Ability to aim down the sights quicker
How to unlock: Get 120 Kills

Perk Name: Scavenger
Perk Ability: Full resupply from dead enemies

Pro Perk Upgrade: Scavenger Pro
Pro Perk Ability: Extra magazines
How to unlock: Resupply 100 times

Perk Name: Bling
Perk Ability: 2 primary weapon attachments

Pro Perk Upgrade: Bling Pro
Pro Perk Ability: Dual attachments on secondary
How to unlock: Get 200 Kills

Name: One Man Army
Perk Ability: Replaces your secondary weapon

Pro Perk Upgrade: One Man Army Pro
Pro Perk Ability: Swaps classes even faster
How to unlock: Get 120 Kills

Perk 2

Perk Name: Stopping Power
Perk Ability: Increased bullet damage

Pro Perk Upgrade: Stopping Power Pro
Pro Perk Ability: Extra damage against helicopters and aircrafts
How to unlock: Get 300 Kills

Perk Name: Lightweight
Perk Ability: Move faster

Pro Perk Upgrade: Lightweight Pro
Pro Perk Ability: Quick aiming after sprinting
How to unlock: Run 30 Miles

Perk Name: Hardline
Perk Ability: Killstreaks acquired in 1 less kill

Pro Perk Upgrade: Hardline Pro
Pro Perk Ability: Deathstreaks acquired in one less death
How to unlock: Get 40 Killstreaks (2 or more in a row without dying)

Perk Name: Cold-Blooded
Perk Ability: Undetectable by UAV, Air Support, Sentries & Thermal

Pro Perk Upgrade: Cold-Blooded Pro
Pro Perk Ability: No red crosshair or name shown when you are targeted
How to unlock: Destroy 40 enemy Killstreak Rewards

Name: Danger Close
Perk Ability: Increased explosive damage

Pro Perk Upgrade: Danger Close
Pro Perk Ability: Increases air support damage
How to unlock: Get 100 Kills

Perk 3

Name: Commando
Perk Ability: Increased melee distance

Pro Perk Upgrade: Commando Pro
Pro Perk Ability: No fall damage
How to unlock: Get 20 Melee Kills

Name: Steady Aim
Perk Ability: Increased hip accuracy

Pro Perk Upgrade: Steady Aim Pro
Pro Perk Ability: Iron Lungs
How to unlock: Get 80 Hip Fire Kills

Name: Scrambler
Perk Ability: Distorts nearby opponent’s radar

Pro Perk Ability: Delays enemy claymores
How to unlock: Get 50 Close Range Kills

Name: Ninja
Perk Ability: Invisible to heartbeat sensor

Pro Perk Upgrade: Ninja Pro
Pro Perk Ability : Dead Silence
How to unlock: Get 50 Close Range Kills

 

Name: SitRep
Perk Ability: Reveals enemy explosives and tactical insertions

Pro Perk Upgrade: SitRep Pro
Pro Perk Ability : Makes enemy footsteps louder
How to unlock: Destroy 120 Detected Explosives or Tactical Insertions

Name: Last Stand
Perk Ability: ws you to survive a normal death. You will drop to the ground and pull out your pistol.

Pro Perk Upgrade: Last Stand Pro
Pro Perk Ability : This allows you to use your equipment too, for example, frag grenades and throwing knives.
How to unlock: Get 20 Kills
